Charles Becard de Granville titled this manuscript "Les Rartes des Indes" and it is illustrative of Indian and animal life in northeastern Canada. This album contains 180 pen drawings (some colored) of Indians, plants, and animals of New France (Canada) with manuscript uescriptions in ink. Also contained in the book are two double page maps with gilt-stamped arms of Louis XIV. This work is also commonly referred to as "Codex Canadiensis" and was reproduced in an elite edition of 100 copies...

Journals describing Berlandier’s trip to Mexico, surveys on the Mexican border, and the Indian tribes of Northern Mexico, California and Texas, and water color drawings of natives of Mexico, Texas and California by Lino Sanchez y Tapia. The journals are in French.
